Most months I'm booking six to eight weeks out, and series projects often book three to four months ahead. If you're targeting a specific launch date, reach out as early as you can — even before the manuscript is final.
What do you need from me to get started?
A short description of the book, three comp covers you admire (and one you don't), a sense of genre and target reader, and — once we've agreed on direction — the first three chapters to read. Manuscript can still be in revision.
Do you use AI to generate art?
No. Every illustration, every ornament, every map is drawn by hand by me. AI may help me brainstorm palettes or write client emails, but it never touches the cover.
Can I request changes after delivery?
Each package includes structured rounds of revision (two for Quiet Binding, three for Full Chapter, unlimited within reason for Epic). After final files are delivered, small tweaks are billed at $90/hr.
Who owns the artwork?
You receive a perpetual, exclusive license to use the cover for your book in all formats, for marketing, and for merchandise. I retain rights to display the work in my own portfolio.
What about printed proofs and templates?
All deliveries include print-ready PDFs sized to your printer's template (KDP, IngramSpark, BookVault). I'll handle the trim, bleed, and barcode placement so you don't have to.
Do you take on non-fantasy work?
Occasionally — historical, gothic, dark academia, and folk horror are all welcome neighbors. Contemporary, romance, and thriller usually aren't a good fit; I can refer you to designers who specialize.
Still have a question?
Drop a line — I answer every inquiry myself, usually within two working days.
